Get Your Bid' ah off my Lawn.: "I cannot say it!" →
abu-amatullah: Ibn al-Qayyim said, “So it may become impossible for him to pronounce the shahaadah, as many people have witnessed happen to those on the deathbed, such that it was said to some of them: “Say Laa ilaaha illallaah.” So he replied, “Aaah! Aaah! I cannot say it!” And it was said to another, “Say… Must read! Please reblog.

When Muslims tout this "one ummah" stuff and then...
I roll my eyes. Differences of beliefs and opinions are a fact of life and have been a fact of this ummah for centuries. This is nothing new. Stop complaining. Seriously. People act like the Sunni vs Shi’a debate is new. It isn’t. And people have been against salafis for a hell of a long time too. What’s even more ridiculous is this “stop creating divisions” argument. K. A little late for that...

While you may have been correct in stating what is or is not acceptable behaviour as a Muslim, I believe you were wrong to go as far as slamming the questioner's integrity as a Muslim or questioning their sincerity. The moment you make it personal, you lose the value of what you're trying to impart and prompt...

I didn’t mean to come off as condescending and I definitely didn’t in my initial response to her question. Note that she regarded my response as too “Muslim” for her since she avoided this kind of answer by not asking people at the mosque, thus likening me with people she does not care for-Muslims- because of their beliefs- Islam. I took offence to her saying that she...

Really? Islam offers flexibility? That’s very interesting. I wasn’t aware that we all had to have the same exact level of iman in order to be expected to follow all of the commandments of Allah. If that were the case, we would be excused for skipping our prayers if we just weren’t feeling so Muslim that day. Get real. Iman goes up and down on a daily basis. It fluctuates on an...

I wish I had more time to devote to tumblr. I would like to start a series of posts on the hellfire. I think it just isn’t talked about enough. I don’t think we take it seriously because we don’t have any understanding of just how awful of a place this is. I also want to blog about punishment in the grave. I think this is also a mostly unheard of topic. We live our lives in...

I know you do not mean to judge at all, but if I wanted someone to tell me I need to break up with him so I am saved in the afterlife, I would have gone to the mosque and asked someone there. We are on different scales of Islam, I shouldn't...

So we moved to a new apartment where this is no WiFi to steal. Won’t be posting too much until we actually pay for internet. Basement apartment=poor cell phone signal. The guy who lives upstairs is an elephant and stomps around all day and all night. Currently there are some stupid kids in the hallway making a rap video and THEY SUCK! This is going to be a long year.

Simply put, Anarchy is rejecting all authority. So Islamic Anarchism makes no sense. Though I guess the idea is rejecting all authority except Allah. And that doesn’t even make sense because we do have to follow laws and respect authority. Anarchy is cool when your 13.
