Right, because a 5.4 year average time spent in prison is a weaker message than “don’t go walking around downtown drunk in a miniskirt at 3 A.M. because it’s dumb.
Rape is unarguably a horrible crime, however pretending that it is considered acceptable by a large group, and castigating that group for this pretend acceptance  is not very honorable.
Society teaches “Don’t rape” AND “Don’t get raped” It teaches the second one as a precaution because history teaches us that some people will not listen to “Don’t Rape”. It is disingenuous to suggest that if only society would tell people not to commit rape, it would never happen, as society already does.

So, you’re going to blame the victim because they brought it on themselves with their attire? That’s so fucking groundbreaking. Have you anything new to add?

But, see, you just proved that there is an idea in society that says that the victim brings it on themselves, which, I’m sorry, is never the case. No one purposely wears something with the intent of getting raped. No one deserves or brings rape on themselves. The only criminal involved in a case of rape is the rapist.

In my experience, I’ve never been in a sex talk or a talk about rape that didn’t add in the message of not committing rape. It was always advocating a “don’t get raped” message, which usually delves into victim blaming, like you did above with your miniskirt comment.
Do yourself a favor, and stop following my blog. I want nothing to do with rape apologists, nor psuedo-intellectual assholes.
