I have always said Attahiyyaatu lillaahi wassalawaatu , wattayyibaatu , assalaamu ‘alayka ‘ayyuhan-Nabiyyu wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu, assalaamu ‘alaynaa wa ‘alaa ‘ibaadillaahis-saaliheen. ‘Ash-hadu ‘an laa ‘ilaaha ‘illallaahu wa ‘ash-hadu ‘anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa Rasooluhu.

So what is this change in the tense used in what you have posted? If it was done after the death of the prophet (sallahu alayhi wasallam) is this not an innovation? If you could please provide some background information as to why it was changed without his consent, I’d much appreciate that. I have fortress of the Muslim in front of me as well as A prayers for beginners guide, directly from Saudi Arabia’s Guidance center and neither have this particular wording that you are using. Curious about that. Jazakallah khair.
